Friday AM
Last night was easier, Sydney Grace's episodes with apnea were fewer, and less taxing to her. If all continues as hoped, the family will take Sydney Grace home tomorrow!
Awesome that she gets to go home. I pray this family has the chance to cherish this precious time together and that all outside needs are perfectly met so that this time is nothing but golden. Sydney is a beautiful baby.
Usually, I have observed that BIG MIRACLES happen, one day-at-a-time and often one little breath at a time. I pray Sydney Grace (a miracle already) will experience another miracle -- the miracle of getting to go home tomorrow. May she contine to inhale and exhale the presence of the Living God one little breath at a time -- for His glory and for the good of her loving family. Amen.
On January 7, 2010, at 5:11am, Sydney Grace Fodrie was born to Joel, Lindsey and big brother Rafe, weighing 4lb 4oz and measuring 15 1/2 inches long. She had a chromosomal abnormality called Trisomy 18, or Edwards Syndrome. While she was not expected to live through childbirth, Sydney Grace defied the odds. She miraculously lived for twenty days, passing on January 27, 2010. Sydney Grace touched thousands of lives and it is our hope through this blog, she will continue to do so.
.......TO LIVE WITH THE CONSCIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF THE SHADOW OF UNCERTAINTY, WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT DISASTER OR TRAGEDY COULD STRIKE AT ANY TIME; TO BE AFRAID AND TO KNOW AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR FEAR, AND STILL TO LIVE CREATIVELY AND WITH UNSTINTING LOVE: THAT IS TO LIVE WITH GRACE. PETER HENRY ABRAHAMS
Wonderful news!! I'm sure they will be so glad to get her home where she belongs. May the Lord bless them and keep them during this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers coming for this family!
